The Evening Standard recently noted Woolwich on their list in an article 'Where to Buy a London Home in 2020: 10 Fast-Changing Areas for Buyers to Have on their Radar'.
It highlighted the area as being a real alternative to Canary Wharf, as a result of the Berkeley Homes regeneration of Woolwich Arsenal, featuring 5,000 new homes, new bars and restaurants and improved transport routes with the future addition of Crossrail.
As well as the new £40 million mixed use arts venue that is planned in Woolwich Arsenal, it mentions that plans are afoot by British Land to develop a five-acre mixed development of Woolwich High Street.
